Uffda Monthly Meeting
Monday November 5th at 6:00PM @ Lutheran Church in Cando
Uffda, Gibben's Veterinary Service, States Attorney's Office, and Towner County Sheriff's Office were called out on Thursday October 3rd to a hoarding situation. Upon arrival it was apparent that the conditions of the animals were not good. It was deemed necessary to seize all 45 animals immediately due to critical health conditions. Most dogs had a body score of 1-3 out of 9. There was no adequate food or water source available.
Of the 45 dogs seized, 25 were puppies, 14 adult females, and 6 adult intact males. All of these animals were taken to Gibben's Veterinary Service for immediate medical attention. Luckily we live in the wonderful state of North Dakota where many shelters assisted us with placing most of these dogs.
This is an example of situations that we help with. This is a huge reason why Uffda exists. We can't thank enough the Uffda members, Gibben's Veterinary staff, and all those that assisted with this situation. These dogs will finally get a happy ending.
